They view it as an enhancement and that it has the possibility of bringing people together. There is the opportunity to build upon the cultures that already exist, and perhaps, even to create new ones. Xandi is a mixed race indigenous woman (Alb8n8ki Wampanoag, Aztec & Black Irish) who talks about navigating the unique roads of sacred ceremonies, multicultural households and politics. She talks about how her skin color works for her and against depending on the situation and how that has affected her identity and connection with others. Xandi speaks from the heart and does not hold back in sharing her opinion and experiences.
Ed. China - America
Ed is Chinese and American. He is from both places. He started his years in China, then moved to the US and has been back and forth ever since. Did you know that Chinese believe that there are ghosts in houses? Why is he a proud American? Here you can learn about China and the US.
Nagat. Yemen - USA
This conversation with Nagat will teach us about Yemeni and U.S. culture. We will learn the terminology of the different scarves used by some Muslim women. Have you ever wondered how women wearing burkas can know who is who? Nagat will talk about how she navigates her role as a woman in both places. How does it feel it to be from Yemen and the U.S. and what it’s like to live in these countries as a person in between these cultures.

Fatima is a multicultural woman who will talk about Kenya, the UK, Tanzania, India, Scotland and living in these places. She talks about her religion, the Ismaili, and her transition to life in the western world. Her travels and life in several countries have taught her that when you are isolated you need to make an effort to connect with people.

His appearance made his community connection in the United States as only superficial because of his cultural and language differences. Alan’s openness about identity and culture and how they connect to the world at large provides a unique perspective unlike any typical white male.
